Government-owned tourism and hospitality enterprise, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR), and Namibia Public Workers Union (NAPWU) on Friday agreed a wage increment for all employees. 

The Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) says it sold out all 7,500 vouchers allocated under its Black Friday promotion within the first eight hours on the first day of sales. 

 Hikes in rates by Namibian hospitality establishments has been attributed to hotels and lodges taking advantage of improved tourist inflows, research firm Simonis Storm has noted.

German airline, the Lufthansa Group, has commenced a three times per week Frankfurt-Mbombela Kruger National Park (KNP) service, with a short stopover in Windhoek operated by Eurowings Discover. 

The government has in the past four years registered 14 500 gambling machines, amid concern that Namibians are getting hooked to the recreational games.

Hospitality establishments in Northern Namibia recorded an occupancy rate of 57.9% in September ahead of those in the southern area (51.1%), coastal area (51.0%) and central area (44.6%), latest figures released by research firm Simonis Storm have shown. 

FlyNamibia has inaugurated flights from the Eros Airport in Windhoek to Walvis Bay as its additional domestic route, set to start as of 28 October.
